  1. Bimini casino and ferry service sched. To launch in dec.

This may be of interest to So Fl members http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/06/29/2873648/genting-group-opening-luxury-boutique.html I wonder if it will help revive Bimini, the ferry service might. Among the blows to Bimini in the past 10 years, the demise of chalk's was probably the worst.

  2. A Tool That Works/ Plastic Pipe Cutter

Once in a while I post about a new tool I have that "works". This tool is for cutting plastic pipe, esp. for lawn sprinklers, but I have tried on heavier PVC pipe, and it made a good, clean, straight cut. This was on 3/4" and 1" OD pipe. The tool is a General Model #118, blades ID #118BG. ...

  7. So where do folks with newer Hatteras's get together online?

Curious where all the newer model year (say post model year 2000) Hatteras owners go for info online. It doesn't appear to be Sams. Would like to see what owners of newer Hatt's are having problems with and/or enjoying. Anyone know what forums they gather around?

  10. Sinkers

In an earlier thread anchoring in Florida waters was discussed. One of the points was derelict and abandoned boats. Well yesterdays wind and rain took down a flybridge small MY type boat first. It looked like the boat tied to it sank first and dragged down the bigger boat. This morning I looked...

  13. Question on 6-71 flushing

I want to run some Rydlyme through my engines (J&T 6-71 TIB's) to clean up the innards a bit. Have never done it before, so I'm looking for some guidance. I planned to shut the main engine seacocks and plumb in a port just upstream of the raw water pump as the port for pumping the Rydlyme into the...

  15. Carl Everleigh

A great Hatteras owner: Carl Everleigh died a few weeks ago. He owned his 43DC the "Skippers Gal" since she left the yard in 1977. She stayed at Lambs in Ft Lauderdale for over 30 years and was in the care the entire time of Lee Ness and others at the marina. He and his wife Mary were devoted to...
