I think this is a beautiful job on a modification to a 53' that I've seen in a while. Nice aft deck enclosure. Nice steps to cockpit. Nice cockpit finish. Nice spiral stairs to fly bridge. Nice tender setup. A+ TO YOU AQUACRAIG!! ...

  3. Absolute Lady

This Hatt has been side tied at the Bight in Key West for quite some time. Absolute Lady is absolutely gorgeous! The side windows are fixed pane glass, mahogany/teak trim all around. This is the poster child for Classic Hatteras MY's. I'm soo jealous ...

  6. 360deg birds eye view.........

Hi, new here and haven't even got a boat yet but I saw this and wondered if it would be any good for boats, they sell them for anything from cars to full size trucks and trailers and even those huge earth moving machines... I would have thought (but as I say I have no experience whatsoever) that...

  7. The New Hatteras Yadhts

Is it just me or are the new Hatteras' really looking pretty good? Maybe after looking at so many Nike sneaker boats in the last years, the new Hatteras look is quite refreshing Now if they only made a size that regular folks like most of us can afford......... something between 40 and 50 ft...

  8. NYT: The Lawless Ocean...catching poachers, etc

A 5 part series by the NYT. This part is about those crazies actually doing something good and chasing fish poaches. Funny how global warming gets so much attention when killing the fisheries and deforestation are much worse (and actually proven to occur) ...

  9. Rail refinish

I know it has been discussed in the past. However with the constant improvements in chemistry I am wondering what is the latest word on Epifanes. I see three types available. Leaning towards Wood Finish Clear, But Rapid Clear sounds very similar. The rails are down to bare wood and ready for...

  10. Fanfare at Fifty

Celebrated Fanfare's 50th birthday last month at the Ocean Reef Club's Vintage Weekend. I was pleased that Fanfare won a special award, probably for perseverance! Unfortunately the antique cars and aircraft were rained out by a deluge of Biblical proportions. Naturally, the boaters were unfazed...

  17. Miami Boat Show - TAKE THE WATER TAXIS!

I just saw the news segment on the boat show which is at a new location this year and suffering its share of growing pains. Traffic to/from/on the island is an utter nightmare, taking most people way more than an hour just to get to Virginia Key. Take the free water taxis, for sure, even if you...

  18. Crazy Survey findings or lack there of.

On a former trawler the surveyor indicated bilges dry and pumps working properly. I was not able to attend to verify. Several weeks later I find water in the center bilge. The pump is floating on a 4x4 running like mad. Easy fix and no major leaks. Just saying!
