  1. 1988 Chris Craft 42SF

A friend is seriously considering a 1988 Chris Craft 42SF. Boat is exceptionally clean and cared for. I know they have a great reputation and ride is supposed to be very nice. Anyone have any first hand experience with one?

  3. Getting close!

They painted the hull on Friday. Now they have a new crew beginning to put the boat back together. Then they will paint then on skid decks, cleanup and bottom job. I hope to be back in the water next month! Can't wait. It's been a long time but she looks spectacular.

  7. Cool 250 miles - issue free...Priceless

Love these boats. We just completed a trip with friends from Wilmington, NC to Savannah, GA in 3 days and approximately 250 miles. The dinner discussion after Day 1 offshore, on the hook near Georgetown, SC did not include any reference to the boat from two first time crew aboard. Priceless. We...

  11. How to heat the cabin for winter projects

Looking to see what folks use to heat the boat if they do interior projects in the winter. Really just asking folks in the northeast, as it's pretty cold up here in jan and feb.

  12. that cruise ship

sort of surprised that I am first to mention. wow, very happy that some 4500 souls survived. As a Deadliest Catch fan, the seas that this ship encountered made Bering sea look like a mill-pond. As has been stated by some in past threads in this forum, this ship looks top-heavy, and should just...

  13. Sportfishing boat sinks off of San Diego coast

I dock my yacht next to the sport fishing fleet in San Diego. This past weekend I noticed that the Invicta was not at her normal spot directly across from me. I did a little research and found out she sank after hitting rocks at Coronado Islands just south of San Diego. Be careful out there! All...

  16. The longest Hatteras shopping search as finally ended

As long as Jim Pease doesn't beat me for the record, but he still has many years to go. I think we can say it's been about 10, maybe 15 years in the making...but I now finally have a Hatteras to compliment all the other (too many) boats in the fleet. Started off on a lake here: On to a...

  17. Hatteras attire

The link to Deep River Traders reveals a very limited catalog of Hatteras attire. There used to be jackets,model-specific tees etc.,etc,etc. I am sure a call to them will enable one to obtain all of the old stuff, but how do we remember what all of the old stuff was? Direct internet search just...

At least 38 people attended the opening cocktail party last night with more people arriving today and Friday. NY, PA, MD, VA, NC, SCAM, GA, FL and Detroit were represented at the party. There was enough food provided that no one left for dinner and most people were there for more than 2 hours. A...

  20. Ocean 37 Billfish

First off I didn't realize that Viking acquired Ocean Yachts a few months ago. I think that's interesting. But what I really find interesting is that they intend on manufacturing the 37 Billfish as a Viking. Clearly, as Scott has pointed out in the past, the manufacturers do their homework with...
