  1. Another interior phase completed.

New curtains in, salon almost done. The $14 Amazon steamer remarkably effective on the wrinkles. Let them hang for a little now and maybe hit a few more spots and we'll call it good. The rope lighting behind the cornices on the light curtains do an amazing job brightening the space up. Last part...

  3. Importance of covered slip?

In choosing a home slip for a Older Hatteras sportfish would a covered slip be important to you? Cover would provide some protection from rain and elements.

  4. Where have all the FULL SERVICE Yards gone???

What’s going on with the boating industry? Is it me or is getting harder and harder to find a qualified yard to complete routine maintenance on time and within budget. And even harder, if near impossible to find a yard to complete a significant refit/update to a boat. It seems yards wants to...

  5. Need help moving vehicle from New Bern to CT

I'll be driving my truck down to New Bern in March to pick up my new boat. Does anyone know of a service in that area that will transport my truck back to CT for me so I don't have to bring an extra driver along?

  6. Halifax Harbor Marina

We are on a short cruise vacation, and just wanted to give a shout out to Hilifax Harbor Marina (Daytona) Well protected, floating docks, super nice helpers. Last time we came through this way we stayed at new Smyrna, which was ok for a night, but this one is good for short or long stay.

Hey guys and gals. I’m somewhat new here. I’ve posted a few photos but figured I’d start an “official restoration thread”Wife and I purchased this 41 back in October. 10. 1984 53 Hatteras, Starfire

If the admiral's and my health was better I'd be Chesapeake, VA making a deal on this 53. The pictures are supposedly from 2020, if true she looks to be in excellent shape. I see a lot of people saying they are looking for a Hatteras 53, they should go look at Starfire. ...

  11. Questionable Salvage On 58TC

I mentioned this boat in a bumped thread and assumed when the term, salvage, was used, it was in error. It obviously wasn't. A TowBoat US Captain posted photos and information and photos on Facebook of, Empty Pockets, which ran aground at the entrance to Cabbage Key. The boat was sitting in...

  13. Another excellent Wifey Project.

Tennessee is a temperate climate, and we semi winterize boats. Wifey made these 4' thick fabric covered foam plugs for the ER vents.. keeps the chill out.

I'm thinking about doing something stupid, again. I've been through numerous marinas over the years, but I haven't really paid attention to rates beyond those of a transient. Just curious what you Floridites are paying for wet slips. I'm thinking I would be happier on the Gulf side, but it...
