  2. Sticky Thread Sticky: Northeast 2020

Maybe this is optimistic, but at some point this Corona thing should ease off and instead of hiding from it we'll be ordering it at the bar. It also doesn't hurt to think of more positive things while we're all cooped up. With that in mind, the Northeast Rendezvous is tentatively planned for...

  1. Reasons To Maintain USCG Documentation

Since I have moved to FL I am in the process of registering my boat here as it is a requirement even if it is USCG documented. Same thing now applies in LA as well. So to do this I have to change my hailing port to FL which I am sure there is a cost involved. After that I have to register the boat...

  2. Exuma’s in June or foiled by COVID-19???

I have a trip planned for the Exumas for the month of June this summer. We started planning for the Exumas as soon as we got back from our last Abaco trip (Pre Hurricane Dorian). Am I kidding myself that the Exumas is an option this Summer or is there hope???

  3. How I Spent(spending) My Spring (Corona) Break

With the help of a very kind forum member, I was able to give my 12V71s a tune-up. Actually, this was the first since I've owned Aslan, or almost five years. I know some do the job more frequently, and that's just dandy. But the hours, compared to the equipment I operated, are relatively small....

  4. Quarantine can help with boat upgrades

Since most of us aren't supposed to be hanging out at the marina with our friends, I thought it might be fun to virtually share a boating project. Anyone (other than Dan) care to guess what I'm up to?

  8. forum behavior

The success and usefulness of a space such as the Hatteras Owners Forum depends directly on the civility of the people posting on it. This is a very difficult time for all of us. In particular, for boaters, it's the time of the year when we look forward to getting our boats back in the water,...

Well it’s official as of 12:00 am they completely closed San Diego bay to boating, fishing, paddle boarding etc. $1000.00 fine if caught. However they say the channel is open to commercial boats. 12. 53MY Market

I’m seeing junk and overpriced boats I view as mediocre at best. Even those priced in the mid-200’s don’t seem like anything that special, and nicer, newer and larger Hatt’s are going for that or less. What’s the dang deal here?

You can say anything you want about California but Governor Newsom has taken charge and is running the state like an independent country. 17. A nice 53 in Los Angeles

In MHO this is one nice 53, they did a great job on the wood work. The whole boat looks good. I am not sure I like the way they opened up the cockpit to the salon but it does make for a wide open space. If I was back in CA and looking I'd sure take a look at this one. ...

Going to be running Sadey’s 60MY to Racine via the east coast beginning late April/early May. Same with the stretch from Norfolk to Jersey as I’m thinking...
