  5. Finally got around to tuning the Engines...

Port engine has never turned the specd 2500 RPM at WOT no load. So first I adjusted the valves and timed the injectors. The valves were pretty close but I touched them up. Three of the injectors were out of adjustment so I corrected those. Then, after a warm up, I checked the WOT no load rpm...

I've got a 32v GM fresh water pump and would like to add a 110v shallow well pump as my primary pump. I need some guidance with respect to how the two get physically connected. Specifically, does each pump need it own expansion tank. I was hoping to use just one and I've also heard that the...

  10. interior refinishing - wood filler

Can anyone recommend a good wood filler to use for fairing out any dings to Afromosia panelling? My wood's in pretty good shape, but I've got a couple of cabinet doors where I think the dings are beyond what you could steam out and filler is probably the only option. I'm wondering if there's any...

  15. Windlass cable gauge?

My windlass system uses a 12 vdc / 4-d dedicated battery and charger at the moment. I would like to add a battey cable back up running off my port engines battery bank. I would run it to a switch so if my dedicated 4-d battery fails I could still operate my windlass. I'ts a run of about 35'-40'....

I was wondering what you guys use to cleanup props? 18. Boat Upgrade History

Ever think about all the boats you've owned and how you got to where you are today? It was a long twisted path but here's how I arrived: 1970-72, 18' MFG w/40hp OB (Dads) 1977-79, 13' Homemade Speedboat with same 40hp OB 1981-83, 17' Raysoncraft w/150 hp OB 1983-84, 31' Wooden Pembroke...

  19. Singin' in the Rain

Installed the re-varnished swim platform last weekend in N. MI. St. Ignace... 45-50 degrees, steady rain, then some sun, slighty muddy boatyard, sopping wet deck shoes...batteries came up on charge right away...had a great time...as they say nothing better than messin' around in boats.

  20. Early 41 Convertables

Does anyone have any info on the early (1961) 41C's? I am curious about the number of hulls that were produced, and lay-up method. I have read the info on the 34C's on the 34.org page. I assume (maybe not too smart) that the lay-up methods were the same. Any thoughts?
