  1. "Your boat is too old" Insurance ??

    I am having a hard time finding insurance from my 1965 41 DC. Metlife said they will not insure boats more than 15 years old, and Progressive will not insure boats over 20 years old. Is anyone working with an agent that services the IL area that can underwrite for older boats? Thanks, Akin

  4. Who has the best prices on marine electronics

    sooner or later (probably sooner) I'm going to have to buy some electronics. mainly a good GPS/chart plotter and a good sounder and a radio.     Thanks Genesis I did as I was told and the odor is gone. "Stick head in hole. See if you smell anything familiar. If so, its being sucked into the air plenum...... If not, remove the duct hose on the plenum and see if there's anything nasty growing in there"

  15. battery charger replacement

    My 45c series II has the original Sentry battery charger, and I may be starting to have some problems with it. Probably no big deal to fix, but I remember some here saying the Sentry chargers don't do your batteries any favors. So, what kind do you all reccommend if I make a change now?

  20. oil cooler update

    Have Crusader 454's. oil cooler leaking water. took it off and acid washed it out then put the torch on the cap that was leaking. it came right off. turns out the guts are braised but the caps are put on with regular solder. found out why it was leaking. looks like someone damaged the top...
