    Has anyone added angled exhaust elbows outside the stern to direct exhaust towards the outer sides of the boat? I've seen a few boats with what appear to be about 45 degree elbows directed outwards and others with extensions to the aft edge of their swim platforms. Does this help keep soot...

  5. Engine oil in marine gear! Now I see it....now I don't.

    In June this year, we ran from Stuart to Fernandina on trip to Great Lakes. Before leaving Fernan., (about 05:30) checked all fluids.   6. Teak floor finishes

    About 3 years ago, I used Silkens Cetol to finish the teak in my cockpit. I didn't like the orangey look but the teak maintance was killing me. Anyone have any current products they like and have had good success with in terms of durability?

    Any ideas on what to look for? The port 6v92 has a vibration at idle in neutral or in gear that increases proportionatly as the rpms are increased. Starboard engine is smooth.
