  2. House Battery Switch

I am a long way from home with a dead starboard battery that serves the house side. It powers the fresh water pump and heads so I can't use them even in port, and much worse, at anchor or underway. It also powers the electronics but they seem to work once the alternator picks up voltage Does...

  3. Bilge pump installation

Hi again. I am installing 5 new bildge pumps in my '71 58' YF. New pumps, switches, hoses, wiring, and through-hulls. My question is about the best method for securing the pump and switch. I am considering using a bit of 4200 to glue the bottom of the pump strainer to the hull (after thorough...

  7. 15 amp 1 pole 120V breaker

Sorry to ask a tacky question on this forum but I need a few 15 amp 1 pole 120 volt ac breakers to add to my panel. Is there perhaps a less expensive source for these breakers than the $85 per breaker here?

  8. In need of water tank primer

Ok, I've now had my 1973 53MY for one year and have addressed many mechanical and electrical issues, but not the fresh water system. My port engine bilge insidiously fills with water. It's not coming from the engine compartment, ie, thru hulls, exhaust system, ac system or stuffing boxes. Its...

  9. Hatteras Nameplates

I have Hatteras nameplates on the sides. They were metal and copper plated. Of course since the boat is from '84, they are not in the best of shapes. I have been looking for replacement but all I found were black plastic replacements from Sams. (I am putting back the boat to it's original look)....
