  1. Cool New refrigerator in 65 MY.......done!

About a year ago I started asking how to get a new refrigerator in my 1988 65' MY and ended up with more folks asking the same question than the answers I was looking for. I had come to the conclusion that when building the boat Hatteras must have started with the refrigerator and constructed the...

  3. New Fridge for 43 DC – Help Selecting One

The day has come when my original 1976 Frigidaire model FPI-152T refridgerator no longer works. I pulled it out and have in salon, and yes it will be nightmare everyone says it is getting it the whole way out. I’m pretty sure I will have to remove teak door jambs from lower helm entrance to get...

  4. Route advice request: NYC to Baltimore MD

Hi. It looks like I'm taking possession of a Chris Craft Commander 55 that's moored near the Statue of Liberty in NYC. I'll need to take her south to Baltimore and have been trying to determine the best route. By the looks of things, running outside to the Cape May Canal might be best as this...

Just wondering if anyone has used this product: http://www.pureayre.com/products-marine.htm Like all magic potions, they promise the moon and the stars, I try and limit myself to one impulse buy a month :) and this is my Dec one. I plan on fogging below decks tomorrow morning, well see.

  6. SEA 225 SSB Brightness Adjust

I have a SEA 225 SSB and am having a difficult time reading the frequency display on the readout screen. I do not have a manual nor can I find one online. Does anyone know how to make the screen brighter or is it simply not meant to be read when mounted above your head? Thanks.

  8. Looking for info on 61 MY sales...

I am researching the possibility of buying a classic 61 MY. Currently there are 18 available on YW from $189k-$495k. Does anyone here have any insight into what these boats are actually selling for? It seems they are generally much higher priced than the 58's. I assume that is a function of...

  9. 6v92 cast iron exhaust availability

I have to replace a turbo, and I know that one of the studs is somewhat stripped. Last time I had it off, I managed to get the nut to bite, and added a bit of loktite to keep it on. This time I'd like to extract the stud, but I'm worried that I might crack the cast iron flange in the process. ...

  10. Galley Remodel?

I have recently purchased a 1981 48 Hatteras MY, and want to remodel the Galley into a more efficient footprint. I am thinking of removing the settee and integrating the new area into the Galley. Has anyone done or given any thought to such a transformation?

  12. CruisAir Component Repair

As a function of bad power, blew a circuit board on CruisAir unit. Dometic was VERY proud of a new replacement unit. Local man that repairs circuit boards was able to repair for $75.00 All In. Another arrow in the Hatteras quiver. Brett Electro Joe 813-765-1505

  13. Progress on project boat

It's been just over 3 years since my late husband and I started work on Cinderella. I don't get a lot of time to post pics to report incremental progress along the way, largely because I work full-time and she's about a full-time commitment. And I value my sleep. She was in rough condition...
