  1. Furniture slips on hardwood floors?

The galley is gutted and carpet removed from the salon. Now I notice that the sofa and recliner slip easily on the plywood subfloor. I assume it will be similar on the hardwood or worse. What to do? Rubber pads of some kind? I'll post pics of the job soon. For now I'm making coffee in the mid...

  7. Ray marine problem

I have a three year old Raymarine navigation system (C90w) and for the last few months when I turn it on it does not acquire the vessel position or depth. It does no good to turn it on and off but if I throw the breaker to the whole system, it works fine on start- up. Any recommendations before I...

  9. Why no lower station on Converts/Sportfish?

Hey all, I'm new to this forum, and at 23, probably one of the youngest. I live ON Aquia Creek, off the Potomac. Anyway, once I finish up school this year and get a job, I'm going to be in the market for a "seasoned" 42+ sportfish (meaning mid 70's or older haha). I grew up on the water and...

  10. Bottom job cost........

I bought a 1996 70 Sport Deck last year and knew it needed all those years of bottom paint removed to start fresh. You could see patch's coming off from previous layers that were not adhering any more. The boat has no blistering issues so no repairs needed there. What should blasting the bottom and...

  12. New.Washer Dryer

Well it wasn't easy, but the old W/D is out! It was surgery with a Sawsall. I'm going back with the Bosch Axis stack. Not looking forward to lugging them downstairs. The upside is that I can finally replace the generator room vent blower, and it is 115v. I'll feel better when its in.

  13. Found 41 convert for free!

Gonna take a shot at getting a 1971 41' Hatteras convert today. Got inside info a nearby Harbormaster will let it go if I take over slip payment. 14. Head Problem

I have three Crown Head IIs. One won't fill up w/water after flushing. I've checked the filter and all the water lines - no issues. It appears that when I release the button, water flow into the bowl stops sooner than it does on the other two. I did replace the Joker Valve as the old one had worn...

  18. Bottom Questions

We are having our bottom media blasted now. The boat has had no bottom maintenance for the last eight years so to no ones surprise we have a couple hundred blisters. There are also another 60 to 100 that were not repaired properly or not dried correctly so they need attention also. None appear to...

  19. Removing ModernMaid stove, last ?

One of our members wants the whole stove, which brings us to a scheduling question. Does the base that contains the dishwasher come apart enough to fit through the pilot house door, or will I have to wait to remove it until the salon window is taken out?
