  2. Painter In Florida

    We found a painter in Daytona Beach Fl. The Service Manager at Daytona Marina and Boatworks does paint work on the side. spray work, not roll and tip. He uses the marina float in paint shed which appears to be wwII vintage, shed has 22' door and is wide and long enough for any of our boats....

    Do any of you know what the peak rating on the old onan gens are? I have a 4.0 mcck. Also i am trying to set timing. I put the timing light on it but cant find a mark. The flywheel is facing aft towards a bulkhead. Do any of you know how i can check the timing on this unit?

    we have a 34c with crusader 454's. 1.88/1 ratio. prior props were 3 blade, i believe when they were in good shape we got 4400 rpms wot, approx 27-28kts. we just had bottom sanded to gelcoat and changed to 4 blade props, wot is now 4000. however speed is way faster. at 3250 we are at 23.8...

  12. oil cooler problem

    Crusader model 350, 454 oil cooler. found one leaking around the seam where top casting meets the tube. Question is how are these assembled? are they silver soldered together? or is the pipe threaded. new cooler is 280.00, I hope there is a way to save the one I have instead of a new one.

  13. gel battery v regular led acid

    is there any real advantage to gel batteries? We had a 4D gel and an 8D gel. the 4D is fried. was thinking of saving some and replacing it with a regular led acid. 8D Gel runs the Starboard engine and house. the 4D runs the Port engine and bridge. Gas engines.
