I have a 1972 53' MY with 2" shafts on the engines and unknown Dia. on the rudders (both propeller and rudder glands are the single old compression-nut style). I plan to use the Gortex packing, any recommendations? Does anyone know what size packing to use in these glands? Thanks, Mike <53MY...

Does anyone know what the extra 1/2" diameter rod is that is attached parallel to my 360 degree mast light? It extends slightly above the large 5" high Perko lens. I mounted an anemometer on it, but certainly it has a purpose. Thanks. Andrew
