  1. Mixing bronze and nibral props

    What are the ramifications of using one bronze and one nibral prop? I have located a matching prop for my lost one, but it is bronze (new, not used) for less than half the price of the nibral props that I have found. Should I be concerned? The prop shop selling it says no problem, but......

  2. Phosphoric

    Anyone had any luck finding 'ph-ospho-ric' or any phosphoric acid in the mid Ches. Bay area? Seems Home Depot no longer carries acids in this area and my local hardware store (that always has what I need) doesn't stock it either! Rob

  3. clean bilges

    ok... in theory oil leaks on these beasts shoudl be under control... but i really dont see any gushing but with time it all adds up to oil in the bilge. I don't see how it's possible to fit some drip pans... absorbent thingys still leave some oil in the water... option 1 : add bilge kleen...

  4. Fuel Tank Access Ports

    i have to pump out my fuel tanks (gas). i'm sure i'm not the first so what is the best way to attack this? i'm thinking of trying to take out either the threaded fuel guage or better yet the access port it is screwed into. any hekp is appreciated.

    Yesterday, as my first scuba dive since certified, I checked the zincs on our 53. There weren't none! Well, perhaps I exaggerate...there was about 1/4 of one side of a zinc in the port rudder, and a portion of a zinc on the port shaft but it was spinning freely on the shaft. It did a nice job...

    I have a 1964 41c with less than 150hr rebuilds 6v53n's around 210hp. In my infinet wisdom I went to 24x24 4 blades, the wrong answer. Now I can only spin up to 2400 wot.   10. Dirty Fuel - Asphetine vs. Bacteria

    Drained a bunch of crud out of my strainers today. Looked like black flakes which when rubbed between your fingers turned grainular. Is this asphetine (sp?) or bacteria? Stainers are not clogging yet but this stuff can't be good. What's the best way to deal with this?
