I am replacing the genset on my 52 sport fisher. It has a 20kw Onan now but I am thinking about installing two smaller units. A freind has a 50 Bertram with an 8kw and a 6kw that seems to work fine. I am thinking about maybe a 12kw and a 6kw. any thoughts?

Bought the VRO packing for the 37C with 3/4" shafts, 3/8" just like my manual says. No way it will fit in the compression nut. I measure 3/16" from the shaft to the top of the thread. I suppose someone could have changed the stuffing box in the last 30 years. Am I missing something. Hal P.S. Just...
