  3. Who makes custom boat sofas now?

I bought one back in 2005 from Eagle something or other in North Carolina and it was great with storage underneath the seat. But its time for a new one that that place is no longer in business. Any suggestions?

  4. Velair Marine Air

Has anyone had experience with Velair yet? Their AC units make some pretty big claims for efficiency and noise reduction. It's a 2 speed unit. One of my suppliers just started stocking them.

  7. Oil in bilge on top of a lot of water. Best way to remove?

Does anyone have any tricks on how to get oil out of the bilge when it is floating on a bunch of water? I have heard of using a shop vac and skimming the oil off the top as one option - hate the idea of trashing a shop vac though. Just wondering if there are any better ways. I don't want...

I have these two depth and speed gauges on my flybridge. They don't work and I am trying to remove them. They have a ring on the back and I was able to remove them. However the gauges don't want to slide out the front of the dash. Anyone have experience removing these gauges? Might they be...

  14. Generator questions One quit, other no voltage

My 15 kw suddenly won't start, I'm suspecting some kind of safety cut - off switch? Also, I fired up my 6kw and while it ran, no voltage no mater how I positioned the switches in the engine room. Could I be missing a switch somewhere? Maybe a bad switch or fuses in that engine room panel? ...

ave a 58 LRC w/ 4-71N's. On the rear inboard of each engine is a moderately large pump to quick a tachometer sender is attached. The pump is clearly connected by hoses to the Allsion MH30 xmsn's. I assume this is the xmsn oil pump. The Allison manual says refer to the engine manual for oil...

  17. Battery cables 4-0 seems like overkill

My 48 year old battery cables are failing. I cannot find what the amperage draw on my Delco Remy starter is. The run from 8 D batteries to starter is about 12 feet. My mechanic feels like 4 0 is unnecessary and probably2 0 would suffice. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Replacing some cracked windows and frame felts on 1986 MY. Did first one and could not get the vertical pull off. 20. Check your policy before the storm...

I was laying in bed last night before 4AM - couldn't sleep with a lot of concerns about the markets. My phone pings and I see an email from Geico saying my boat policy has changed. So, I click the link and see the only change is to my Hull #. They changed an "S" to a 5 - so it was changed to be...
