I have a 1978 hatteras 46' and I am having trouble getting insurance in the southwest part of florida. Any help on this?

I had no problem insuring my 1970 53MY last year with boatUS

Try Boat US. They had the best coverages for my '72, 36' and I just got the coverage in June, 04. No issues with offshore, as I'm in SC.

try peter tyson insurance, he coveres my 1977 46sf. i dont have a number handy, but i will post it as soon as i come across it.

I have my 1973 43 Hatt insured by W.R. Hodgens Marine Insurance of Ft Lauderdale and have for the past 4 years.
He's an independent agent and my policy was $2100 last year. Boat US wanted $2850 for the same thing.

Had my '77 36' insured for $95k. With a 2% deductable, premium was $1,267.00 annually.

Our costs is for full time liveaboard.
You would THINK they would LOWER the costs as we are always onboard instead of being DOUBLED.>:
