I have a light fixture just inside of my cabin door (38 fbdc)that has a fitting for a regular 120 vac bulb. Problem is, there is only 12 vdc going to the fixture. Where in the world do I find 12 volt bulbs with a 120 vac base on it? Thanks, Rick

We have lots of 32V standard base bulbs on our boat. Base type has nothing to do with voltage. West Marine probably has them in 12V. On line, try atlantalightbulbs.com or google them.

Read the base of the old bulb to see what wattage it is first. You'll probably have choices.

Good luck,

Doug Shuman

Most marine supply stores will have the 12 v bulbs. Just bring the old one in to match the wattage.

You can also often find them at RV stores ... and usually much less expensive than the boat stores.

Since they look almost identical to 120V bulbs, I always mark mine with a magic marker....either "12" on the glass, a black line around the glass base, or a black line around the top of the metal base....But I still stick them in 120v sockets from time to time!!! Poof and they are blown!!!
