Raw Water Pump

Anyone know a relatively inexpensive source for a raw water pump for a DD 4-53? My mechanic says it'll cost about $1,000 for him to rebuild it. Seems like there ought to be someone who rebuilds them in bulk cheaper but I haven't found them.

Mine is shooting about a pencil sized stream of water out the bottom.

I just bought a BRAND NEW one for a 6V92TA for right around $700. New, in the box, official "Detroit Diesel" part.

NOT a rebuild.

Just checked with DEPCO and they quoted a price of $1,102.00 for a new one. Said if i ship mine to them they can "probably" rebuild mine for "quite a bit less" than new, whatever that means. Genesis, where did you get the new one foe your 6V92TA?

They're a DD dealer, and I buy all my parts there.

They've never done me wrong on either price or service, the pump I bought was definitely not reconditioned, and no core was required.
