I have a 1966 41' Twin Cabin with the original Crowell Hydraulic steering. I want to put a new autopilot on the boat, but I need to know the RAM Capacity of the cylinder. The autopilot sizes range from 0-10cc. 10-14cc. and 14+cc. Does anyone know what the capacity for that original steering system is??? Thanks so much

Sam's Marine has a free download for a crowell unit. Maybe it's the one you need.

Believe it or not, the manual has even diagram and stat. in it except the RAM capacity. If someone installed an autopilot on the crowell system, even if you don't know the RAM capacity even a model number to a nuew autopilot might lead me in the right direction. Thanks!

The size of rams are located in the back of the Hatteras
manual. At least that is where I found mine. It is not where the system diagram etc. is located.
