does anyone know the purpose of the the blue on my 1986 63 cpmy mast? i was told it was a meal light. thank you in advance.

That light is called the "meal-absent" light; if it looks like the ones I've seen before, it resembles a dogbone with a white light on one end and a blue one on the other. One light denotes "owner on board", the other denotes "mealtime". I can't recall which is which. One of my few complaints about my 36 convertible is that there is no place for a light of this kind, I think they are kind of a neat touch. Very old-fashioned and the kind of thing you would have to be around yachts for a while to know of. Incidentally, I think Perko still make this fixture.
