Following are two excerpts from the current (2004) DD Lube oil and fuel specs.
"In some applications, such as marine and power generation, engine crankcase vapors are routed into the air intake system. Some multigrade engine oil formulations have a tendency to generate vapors that condense on the turbocharger and intercooler components, adversly affecting the operation of the engine...Monograde oils tends not to make these deposits." (page 3-5)
Series 53,71, 92 marine pleasure craft oil drain interval: 150 hours (page 4-4)
