i am not positive but you can contact hatteras and they have the specks on the boat when it left the factory.. There is a possibility that the crowd at sams can help with the same information good luck tim

Does it make a difference in speed if you run 30 micron filters rather than running 10 micron filters?

I have a 1972 36 C Hatteras. I can easly cruise at 15 knots and not cringe when I fill up. 20 knots is easy as well, but you will start to see a significant increase in fuel consumption. Tabs down help as well.

My WOT is 26 knots.

The hull has to be clean. I clean it every month. You can loose 2 to 3 knots easly with a dirty haul.

What size and pitch props are you running? I am running 24 x 27 4 blades. My paper work on boat calls for 24 x 26 props.

Right at the moment I cannot seem to put my hand on my survey If you contact Steve @ sams. He should be able to get you the prop size. Fwiw. I think you should have the 310 hp j&t.
Any growth on the bottom or running gear effects my speed & max rpm.

I will deffinantly look in to it. So you are saying if i change my injectors i can get more power out of them? I am also having rmp issues. Just finished remoldling the whole exterior of boat. On my old gauges i was reading 2500 to 2800 rpms. Now with all new gauges my engines are only turning up 1550 rpms. Im going to shot engine with a manual gauge to get a true reading. I did take the throttle housing apart, and it did look like they have some shims to goven them down for some reason. What is really weird is that the first time we took it out after remoldling we were doing 18.5 knotts at 1550 rpms. I really think i have a blade are something on the props bent. Has anyone ever seen shims in the throttle housing? And why would someone want to put them?

Are your tachs set correctly for these engines? Most modern tachs have to be programmed for the tach generator that they "see".

I was not aware of that. They are electric gauges.
