Has anyone had any experience in removing the "weather curtains' i.e. the pieces that go from the teak rails to the deck on the aft deck of the 43' motoryachts. I have to remove them to get them painted.:D

On my 1975 43MY, they were just screwed to the rail stantions from the outside. There was an inch or so gap at the top and bottom.

Some years ago I needed to re-do the weather boards on my 43 MY and I spoke to Steve McPhearson, who was still at the Hatteras plant in High Point, NC. Steve provided the materials and the track (window curtain material) to attach the new boards top and bottom. Not only did it look great, but it extended the season up north because a small heater in the aft deck area was very effective.. Give Steve a yell at Sam's Marine....
