Modify the Helm Area

Folks,
I have a 1987 55 Hatt convertible and will likely have it painted this winter and get a new hardtop. Instead of having an electonics box up above, I would like to change the helm area so that it could accomodate two E120 displays. How easy is it to have the helm area modified to accomodate flat screen electonics ala the newer yachts. How much do you think it would cost to modify the helm area in this manner. As always -- these classic yachts and you guys are the best! Thanks

Had mine done. I had a prefab fiberglass box and added 1/4 plexi to keep the weather off the instruments. Easy to do, and not expensive what so ever in the grand scheme of things on a refit job. box and cover cost like $800.
