i came across this site..

not sure how accurate the data is, but they have about 3800 HAtts listed...

you can also search by county, name, etc... full details (owner addresses, etc... are only available if you pay for the data.

it's a little more powerful than the USCG DB since it includes NON doc. vessels and you have more search options

I've seen that before. I like the CG site better. It's easier to read and has more info. Are you sure that this site has non-documented vessels? Where do they get that info, from the states? My boat is not listed, but it's not documented and there is no lien on it, so the only way that they could get any info would be from the state registration. Our state doesn't record boat names, just owners name, address, boat length, type, material, and power/sail. I think it would be difficult to get info on non-doc boats.

Well, don't put too much faith in the data. I found my old Wellcraft listed under the name of the fellow I bought it from in 1989. I in turn sold it to someone else in 1997.

They still have me listed as the owner of ...(sniff)...Passages...

actually, registered boats are not shown... not sure why the first time around i thouhg i had seen smaller boats.

true, the USCG db has more data but afaik you can only search it by name, not by owners name, city, zip, etc...
