I have a galley maid HTS Macerator Pump, it's brand new, one of the draw backs is it has to be primed. I have been told I can put a "pressure switch" on it that would not energize the pump until it was primed, hence "pressure switch". Anyone have any experience with this, its mounted on top of the holding tank starboard engine room. It is independent of the macerators located at the toilets and is for transferring contents of holding tank to pump out or overboard. Marina pump out can not evacuate the tank on its own. Solenoid came with the pump but no switch...........supposebly the pressure switch is the best option ??
