    length of shaft for 41C

Does anyone know the shaft length for a 41C?
I have 8V53 detroits. It is probably in the manual on the boat but I cant get there until Saturday.

If your's is the same as mine (1969 41c with 8V53's ) the shafts are 1.5" dia.
and the tail shaft is 48" long and intermediate is 72" long.
    Hope this helps.

It might. Mine have been upgraded to 13/4 and one piece but I was wondering the total length as I might have found a spare

Mine is a 1970 41C with the 1 1/2 in. shaft. I'm like you, the book is on the boat but I can tell you that it is about 6 inches longer than UPS will ship. I had to have two sent by boat from Miami because they were too long to ship by air. I think they are 10 ft. Mine is almost the same boat as Salty Dame but mine are one piece.

Scott, remember the length of the shaft is not as important as the diameter
