    this is what I have in my hatt.....mine is a 1969 but I've yet to meet anyone else with these engines in theirs.

    I have the 426 wedge engines. I am been thinking about diesels. Would these be a good fit?? Are they good, reliable, servicable engines?

    I almost bought a 1972 53MY with those engines in Detroit, so you're not alone.
    There are a few more out there.

    Save your money. You'd be better off buying old Detroits or CAT 3208's. At least somebody makes parts for those.
