I use 1/4" acrylic to fabricate replacement windscreens. If available, have the edges hand polished. This prevents premature crazing and cracking caused by flame polishing the exposed edges.

If you find a source for the fiberglass windscreen i would like to have the source. We has a dock fall on our boat due to a ice storm. We have been able to locate most of the parts not a windscreen or someone who is willing to make one.
