    Covington 6v92 max rpm

These are 435hp 1979 engines. Anbody certain of the max rpm while under way? I'm having the props tunes.

The plate on the valve cover should give the max no-load rpm, if it's still there. If not, I would guess 2500.

WOT RPM should be 2300, with high idle 2500.

Check the high idle - if its 2500 (within 25 rpm or so) then 2300 is the proper loaded WOT MINIUMUM.

2350 is what you want to prop for with a FULL LOAD. This gives you some margin when the wheels are less than perfect, there's a bit of fouling on the hull, etc.
