I was wondering if anyone has a source for a new microphone plug for my Icom 700 Pro SSB radio. I had a little mishap (understatement) which seperated the brass from the cord and it has one of those molded on ends which a mere mortal could never penetrate. Icom of course wants to sell me a new mike, the ole' 100 dollar fix for the 10 problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.............Pat

Re: Plug for Icom Radio
I would try Radio Shack for the plug, then get out the soldering iron.

Re: Plug for Icom Radio
This may be an Amphenol connector- you might look on their site or an electronics supplier.

Re: Plug for Icom Radio
I might have one, but I don't know what style you have or the the pin count. A good bet would be Amateur Electronic Supply. Orlando 18003271917, Milwaukee, Wis 18005580411. I have mostly Icom radios that I use on a regular basis. Most of them I purchased from them in Cleveland. I don't think that Radio Scrap would have them. AES is your best shot.
