I don't know...Listening to the audio and watching the footage made me hope iit was not a Hat owner. The situation was poorly handled considering the expertise that should have been behind the wheel of that boat...and not to mention the horsepower that it probably had to allow it to save it from ripping the bridge off!

Re: Hatteras abuse
Just kidding guys...it was actually a video of me doing the first sea trial of one of the boats I was considering buying. However, I have decided not to proceed with the deal...I don't want to buy a damaged boat.
Are you all sure it is not a hatt??? Sure looked like it to me but it could be a CC501.

Re: Hatteras abuse
Thought it was a video of Randy and Freebird on first voyage.

Between that clip and Randy's maiden voyage story I am now afraid to use my boat for anything but sitting at the dock. And I'm even nervous about that.

I remember both the offending boats. Is the quiapen still running? It was the only ferry in the area with hydrofoils as I remember.

Re: Hatteras abuse
I thought the audio was at least as interesting as the video....I can't believe they went through TWICE.
There was an incident not too dissimilar a while back around here where a sailboat mast got caught in a two-part bascule span coming down- he tried to get through and the bridge tender didn't realize he was there. Lots of yelling and shouting on all sides.
I'd like to have radar, but I can just see that happening to me. Ouch.
