Wanted: 54' to 58' Motor Yacht

My wife and I will be transitioning into retirement over the next several years and plan to get back into boating. We have owned and enjoyed several boats in the past both sail and power. But work and family obligations have largely kept us from the sea for the past 20 years. Now we would like to get back to it in the boat of our dreams a Hatteras Motoryacht. We are looking for something in the 54 to 58 foot range, 1985 or newer, well maintained (loved) and ready to go. To facilitate this process we would like to know if there are any recommendations for brokers and surveyors specializing in these boats. We recognize we will need all the help we can get and appreciate the wisdom of this forum.

Eric at Bayport Yachts is a forum member and Hatt owner and a great broker with lots of knowledge on Hatteras boats. He has offices in Kent Island MD. And aft Lauderdale Fl.

We are looking primarily in the Texas/Gulf and Florida areas. Probably need to retitle this thread as we seem to be gravitating toward 52’ cockpit and sport deck models.
