Here is a broker that knows NOTHING

Check out this listing. Nothing like getting the year and length wrong to start with.

It has Chrysler turbo diesel’s. Rare collector model.😂

Pre 66 34 trunk cabin. They are cool. Just so severely misrepresented.

Here's what's really tragic. The boat is unbelievably beautiful. Looks like it just left New Bern. But those Chryslers are a deal-breaker. It might as well have Toro-Flows.

Boat is a 65. In 65 they moved the lower helm all the way to port and added the gold tube for the wiring to the bridge. My dad ordered our 34 in February 65 and it was delivered in June. July Hatteras debuted the flush deck 34 as a 66 model and he was kinda mad they didn’t give him the option.

I believe that those engines are Nissan diesels that were marinized by Chrysler. It was my understanding that they're fairly tough. Parts availability may be interesting.

Thank you Sky, that broker is a good friend of mine. Boy am I going to have fun the next time I see him. He keeps his boat on the next dock from mine.

    Chrysler-Nissans.

    A blast-from-the-past.

They weren't necessarily bad engines, but they never caught on here, so support is nearly non-existent at best. AFAIK, there is one parts supplier in CA that has all the inventory.

I'm kind of baffled at the rebuild. 200 HP and the cost of a rebuild vs a repower with some Cummins 330s or 370s? Yeah, the repower would be more, but the performance gain and the obsolescence of Jezus-Chryslers....

Kind of opposite to someone dropping new engines into a wreck making the boat worth 2/3 the engine value but people do it.

Sky did it right. I'm waiting on him to bring the boat down here to give me a ride.
