I pulled my water gauge today to find a partially broken center rod at the end of the center spiral rod, the tip on the bottom cross support is there but the rod is not staying on it. A small piece of the brass rod is barely holding on. Without having to buy a brand new one has anybody had any luck trying to fix this?

Re: Help needed
Could it be soldered or brazed?

Re: Help needed
Dan I’d love one. I will also see if someone can repair the tip

Re: Help needed
I need a float for my water gauge. I suppose the chlorine dissolved the cork.

Re: Help needed
My float is made of black plastic. The two in my fuel tanks are made of cork.
