Well its been at least 5 years and it's time.
Has anyone used a pair of 16V Racing Battery to make their 32V starter banks?

Should be more Crank amps than golf cart batteries?
AGM are also an option.

Not that I've heard, but if you want to be the first penguin off the ice, I for one will be interested to see how they work.

Will 605 to 682 CCA be enough?
I don't recall ever seeing these before.
Ouch on the prices.
Keep us up if you go with these.

At $350 a battery you're only saving what? $50 per battery over the Rolls batteries? For something you don't know how it's going to perform? Or is the attraction because they're 16v you'll theoretically only need half as many? Won't that give you less power for the house bank?

Re: 16V Drag Racing starter batteries
Interesting topic-following. I am also at that "it's time" mark. I suppose it means a new smart charger, something that is on my radar. I do like the idea of smaller/less batteries. Right now I hate crawling around filling the batteries on my house bank. I am also thinking agm golf cart batteries. One way or another I am ready to say good-bye to those heavy Deka 8V's that I have.

Re: 16V Drag Racing starter batteries
There are these as well:

Seems like they might be a decent solution from a "specs" perspective, but not sure how they hold up in a marine environment or if the terminals will be HD enough
So wondering if anyone ever tried 16V batteries?
