1985 61 MY Prop Storage ideas...

1985 61 MY and currently my props are in the Generator room lying on the floor, taking up valuable maneuvering/access space. Looking for ideas for storage. I have read many threads on here with ideas, under master bed, etc... but i have not seen a viable option for my vessel. I thought of a rack "single post" that i could stack them on and only take up half of the space, but anywhere I place it in the genny room it will impede access to "something"... Saw one that had bolted them vertically on a steel brace but I don't have anything in there that I would use. Just looking for ideas from possibly other 61 MY owners... thanks in advance.

The original owner relocated our spare props from the bow compartment to the cockpit lazarette when the extension was made.

Try taking up the floor hatch in the forward bunk room. If its the same as our boat, there will be two shelves on either side going forward where the props can be secured.

Depending on hatches installed you could also store them under the flybridge helm area.

Incorporate them into the design of a pair of coffee tables.

    I like that..

We must be looking at some wheels 32"+ in diameter. Should hold a coffee table down..

I did see that done on a sport fish, it had a glass top. Looked real nice and they stayed polished.

We have drawers there. Was that a modification or factory build?

The 63' MY that I had for sale a few years back had a square coffee table in which the spare props were stacked.
