I am looking for a new tender. What size Whaler came on the boat originally a 9 or 10 ft? Mine is a 1981 Hatteras 53ft. Any recommendations or alternatives? I don't want it hanging over the sides or looking to large proportionately for the boat.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: 53MY Tender
On my 53 MY,
I have a 11' Boston Whaler.
It works out perfect.
Don't think I would want anything longer.
Maybe if you are going with an inflatable or semi-ridged you could go longer?Tim

I have a 10’6” inflatable Apex center driving station with a hard bottom. Lighter weight and very safe. Love it.

Re: 53MY Tender
The 13 works on an 18'2" beam Hatt, but for a 15'10", the 11 is best.

Re: 53MY Tender
I have a Zodiac 340, 11.5', with a 40 Yamaha. Pros, comfortable, will plane with 4 adults,10 gallons fuel, the tube can be changed in 30 minutes, buy me no glue needed
Cons, tube only last 10 or 11 years it is PVC, it is 700 #s with the engine
Hope this helps.GLORY Hull # 365
