My Onan keeps popping the emergency stop button when the start switch is activated. My tech can’t seem to find another solenoid anywhere, all that he can get a part number on is $900 which I assume is for the whole starter. Does anyone know of any alternate sources for parts, perhaps for an industrial version of this engine?

False alarm, I was able to repair the solenoid and it all works again. The spring had become dislodged and the screws on the cover had loosened to the point that it was bound up inside. Repositioning the spring and tightening the cover saved me $900!
