I ve spent quite a bit of time shaking my head upon discovering 60s and 70s creative wiring and plumbing issues.
This one is pretty interesting.
This used to be hidden under the bed in the master. When I upgraded the bilge pump a couple of years ago I wondered why I couldn't pull the old hose out. Now that I have moved the bed to be on centerline, I found the answer: the hose was glassed over! Yes that is layer of glass used to laminate the plywood floor to the hull.

I found the same in the aft shower sump. Ended up cutting it off and ran a new more friendly hose.

Yes I also found the same hose in the master. In doing some recent glass work I was surprised to find lots of air bubbles and bits of black tar like flakes. But can’t be all bad it’s been ok for 35 years
