While we were never really concerned, two events have occured. Spanish Cay was robbed at gunpoint and there is a reward. Also, Hope Town experienced an armed robbery as well.

Re: Abacos going the way of Nassau
Amazing.... paradise if fading.
Armed robbery in the Bahama's... they have very restrictive gun laws there but somehow the bad guys
always seem to find a way to get them. I think I will take my chances in the USA of getting robbed, at
least I may have a chance to defend myself....

Re: Abacos going the way of Nassau
Sounds like California. They want to take our gun rights away and let the criminals keep theirs. We surely don’t want to offend them.

You offend them when you compare them to California.

Re: Abacos going the way of Nassau
The last time we were at Warderick Wells, a group of men in a go fast tore through the mooring field rocking all of the boats. With all of the mega yachts heading to the Exumas I guess the only thing that protects them is the notion that most Americans have weapons aboard.

Re: Abacos going the way of Nassau
I was in Marsh Harbor for 3 months last summer and didn't worry for a minute. Unfortunately, there is a bad guy everywhere. The Abaco's are a wonderful destination.
