    Re: Changing transducer in water

Did a wire pull off the terminals in the box?

I will check and see but they all seem secure. Pin 6 was a N/a

    Re: Changing transducer in water

Well I went up there to check the wires. Took cover off majic box. Somewhere during process the plotter beeped. Now I get no sonar. Turned everything off and back on. Sonar screen isn't even an option on the plotter only maps. Blinking red light on the GSD24. Guess I should have left it alone. Will look in am during daylight

My first step is always shut down the equipment before unplugging anything.

Shut down the whole system. Power down the switch and nmea2000 too.let it sit 5 minutes then restart the system.

    Re: Changing transducer in water

Will do. Wasn't unplugging just taking cover off box but guess that could have messed with something. Dont have NEMA network done yet just Garmin network. Also I have a switch in the power to GSd so it doesn't stay on all time. Somewhere today I read the plotter is supposed to power the GSD?? My old DSM had switch so maintain this set up.

    Re: Changing transducer in water

I found the issue. While I was up there the radar cable was coiled up in the way and I pulled it out. I had forgotten the Garmin network cable collar was not screwing properly on the back of the display. It had partially unplugged. I now have depth back operating with 0 on speed and no temp line shown

    Re: Changing transducer in water

Go into the sounder page and in the sounder menu there should be a temp offset adjustment.

    Re: Changing transducer in water

There is a graph that comes up and only get dashes instead of numbers for temp reading. changed the offset randomly to 8 degrees and still get dashes. Someone told me can change the paddlewheel insert to a Garmin and temp will work?
