Buy the fuel gauges from Sam's (yes, the 18" one).
It is made by the same company as the ones from McMater Carr but the Sam's parts are all brass.
The ones from McMaster Carr have steel and zinc submerged parts on them even though it says for diesel fuel.
Trust me you buy the McMaster Carr gauges you'll be sorry.

20 miles out x .6 gallons per mile = 33 gallons.
20 miles back x .6 gallons per mile = 33 gallons
20 mile of just in case at .6 gallons per mile = 33 gallons.
I hold 300 on a good day. add 12 to 20 gallons for the genny running round the clock and youll see why I keep it pretty full.
Its also an hour to the port to get fuel from the house. If I want to take a little river cruise I have some to spare.Scott
