Hull thickness on 1968 34 where rudder is

On the 1968 34 that I just bought 1 of the rudders is frozen in place. While trying to free it up 1 of the bolts that go thru the hull broke and now I'm going to replace all 4. I need to know how long to buy the bolts.
    Anybody knows the length?

Boat is in the water. I bought 4” and 6” carriage bolts.

Made of what? Did you get silicon bronze?

I think the 4 should work for length but not sure if they were carriage bolts.

They are SS. I will replace them with silicone bronze when I haul out.

If the rudder is frozen in place, then you need to haul and fix it right. Just putting in some bolts is not going to take care of the problem.

I know but for now I have to stop the small water leak. Boat is a project and want to do some things before hauling out and doing bottom job. Dont want to do the bottom and have it in the slip until I finish the project.

Plug the leak with a piece of dowel from topside. Push the plug out from bottom when hauled.
