Hatteras 41C Holding Tank, Where and How

1965, No Tank, Well sort of.
Anyway I know someone has done a nifty re fit on their 41 for a holding tank.
Any information would be helpful, Preferably one that worked well.
I eliminated the front V berth Thru Hull and V Berth Head, It was just too cozy
    for my crew.

The original Head was a little used, what Next ?

I've been on a few 41c and seen them in multiple locations. On my boat, somebody worked hard and put the holding tank up in the v-birth behind the center 2 draws (right below anchor locker door).

On another boat it was below the floor in the bathroom (picture).

My 41c had a vacuflush and the holding tank and all of the vacuflush system fit perfectly where the v berth he’d used to be

The placement of a holding tank is something I thought on for a long time. The boat is a series 1 45c so probably somewhat more space to play with however what I did was cut the plywood floor in the front stateroom just inside the original framing. Made a platform to support the tank and got it installed. I'll spare you the gory details here but it is a perfect fit and it's 40 gallons, specifically a hts40. Everything works with gravity so no effluent sitting in hoses. The pump out is just starboard of the fairlead on the gunnel and piped with schedule 80 If you have any questions pm me

The first pic is a shelf for the shower sump to get that typical mess straightened out. Second and third are from front stateroom. Last pic is from the galley hatch into bilge

Ooh, nice job. Just when I thought I'd finished my list.
