What do you pay per foot in Miami to have unlimited power? Wish we had that in California!

Rates vary. Average is $35 to $40 a foot on an annual contract. Some marinas charge power on top of that... we used to pay about $400 a month for power on the 70 footer i used to run

The city marinas charge less and include power. Under $30 a ft

Worst elecrical rates I ve seen is in the Bahamas, metered at up to 0.45 / kw. Average between $140 to $180 a day with the 84 i run now. We do spend a lot of time on the hook...

What happens when your shore power connections aren't maintained.

Sailboat today at the marina. I saw it flash up and was able to grab a couple of extinguishers and knock it down pretty quickly. Just luck I smelled it and then took a look or it'd been a bad one.

Why not move your boat to Portsmouth, Va. and join all of us at Tidewater Yacht Marina. We could use more boat neighbors like you here!!!

For cruising (and only for cruising) if you connect the hot water heater with a coolant loop, you will have all the hot water you need. Obviously, this only works when you are running the boat, but it does stay hot for days.
