Thoughts on this Hatteras for sale...?

Does anyone know about this Hatteras 56' listed on Yacht World? It appears to have some water damage in the aft main deck coming from the ceiling and also from around the aft windows. Some wood rot as well in the area.

A survey would defiantly be needed before any serous consideration but if anyone has experience with this boat or knows of someone who does I would be interested in what they think.

Last ones I saw from national had anything of value removed with no explanation. Just tape over the holes. Bad news.

I replaced all the electronics but the mounts for the radar and sat tv were already there.

Weird interior decor, to say the least.

My first thought was "NL stay away" but the boat doesn't look bad in the photos. I think you'd need a really expert and meticulous surveyor and engine surveyor. I wonder how it ended up with NL. Maybe a foreclosure? Not that anyone will tell you the truth, I'm sure.

Nice looking motor yacht, price seems low so the pictures may not be telling the whole story. Get her survived, check the motors throughly with DD mechanic. Have fun.

Strange interior with the aft bulkhead and doors removed.

Wonder what that does structurally to remove the aft bulkhead? Can't be good.

I just took a close look at photos 1&2. Didn’t notice it until now. Look at the ceiling tears. What the heck?
