My 36 sedan has 480hp yanmars. Cruises around 17kts and tops near 27kts. Gets 2nmpg at 7kts and about .6 at cruise. I have the old logs from my boat when it had 3208's. It got about the same mileage with the same cruises. Great overall boat and as long as the 3208's are solid its a great setup.

Re: 36 Sedan with Cat 3208T
I have the exact boat you are looking a 1986 36 sedan 3208t 320hp. I put a hard top on it and
probably a lot of weight with all the day to day crap.
It has 24x22 4 blade nibrals. Fuel fuel and water it will do 20 mph(not knots) on the pins. It has a
twin disc 506, I think 1.97x 1 ratio. When I bought the boat it had 3 blade 25x26 and just a Bimini.
It did 18-19 mph fiel fuel, no water, no personal stuff but three large adults 220lbs average.
I never checked the fuel burn. I can tell you the difference
between running at 2000 rpm and 2400 is great. Overall the boat is slow, about 15-16 mph at 2400
and about 12 at 2000 mph. Heavy for it's size
and rides well.

Cat 3208T is a very simple, bulletproof engine that is easy to maintain and inexpensive to repair.
