Does anyone know what boat this actually is or have any other information about it?
The broker did't give much detail about it other than "it is what it is."
I looked at the model brochures link and did't see anything that looked like this boat. Was it a custom build? I don't believe Hatteras built this, but I really like the look of the boat. I just want to see a completed interior to get an idea of what it should look like, but I have nothing.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Re: Carolina Classic "Built by Hatteras"
Haha you're absolutely right. $40k is what he's asking, but no where near what he will get. I was thinking the $10-15k range as well. The broker said it's been on the hard for a year and it ran well when put on blocks. The size and style are what I'm looking for when it comes to fishing the Chesapeake Bay and offshore. I just wonder what the interior lay out looks like, the pictures are awful at best. This is just an initial look and see, researching to see if it's worth while.

Re: Carolina Classic "Built by Hatteras"
Take a look in SAMs model brochures for a 36 Series 1. That is the boat with no lower helm and some not so well done modifications. I owned a 75 version back in the 70's and it was a very good boat from what I experienced. Only flaw was a tendency to keel plane if you ran it hard with the tabs down. But with full fuel or a slight retraction of the tabs the problem was solved.
Not a starting place for a boat I would choose. For what you will spend in the end fixing this one, can likely start with one that is already nice.

Re: Carolina Classic "Built by Hatteras"
I looked at the Series 1, but no vents in the hull mid-ship and no window in the berth. It may be the same mold with those taken away to give it a cleaner look?
Do y' all really think this is a lost cause? It has a lot going for it (and yes, even more going against it) but for the right price....
One would think the Cats in running condition wold be worth that!
